An Article Explaining Why Christian Peoples Should Be Wary Of Today’s Jews
“… I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.”

“Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.”
(Revelation 3:9)
Before I go into this article in detail, let me make two disclaimers. First, as this article is written at a time of a heated war between Israel and Hamas, I do not stand with Hamas, neither do I stand with the Palestinians and their ridiculous claims, nor do I buy the two-state solution nonsense. Secondly, this is not an antisemitic article which I’ll explain later. It is hard to post this at a time such as this and not be seen as taking sides with the adversaries of the Jewish people. But it may also be the best time to post it seeing the high sentiments in the air.
That said, let me present my points. The Lord our God was a Jew and proudly identified as one. Speaking to the Samaritan woman, he said, “Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.” (John 4:22). When he said “we” he referred to himself as a Jew in a boasting way.
All the authors of the Bible except Luke were of Jewish origin. Luke was a Greek and I likened the admittance of his work into the canons of the Bible by divine providence and approval as a crown on the Greek nation for their immense devotion to seeking God, and their contribution to science and development of human life. I explained this more fully in a book I’m currently writing. But apart from Luke, all other authors of the book of our salvation were all Jews. And just as we see that all the authors of the books of scriptures save one were Jews, so must we have the same yearning as the holy prophets which can be summarised in one command, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” (Psalm 122:6).
So we do see why Christianity is closely tied to Judaism. However we must be cautious not to dance too closely with the Jews lest we dance with Satan. I’ve seen all manner of sentimental things written about Israel like Christianity owing Israel gratitude for something like being the authors of our salvation. And others who claim that Judaism and Christianity are tied together in one indivisible bond. The list goes on. The absurdities of these things are easy to see and I won’t seek to point them out. We see that the reasons for these sentimental views are not causeless.
However, the same Christ, who is our Lord and God, called the Jews the synagogue of Satan twice and very unapologetically as we can see in the two key verses of this article. And the fact is, the same traits that characterise the Jews that were so called also characterises the Jews of today. These traits are firstly, that of unbelief in the Christ, for it is written, “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.” (1 John 2:22). The second trait is that of persecuting the church, the body of Christ. This second trait needs a bit of explanation.
I was particularly disturbed at the role Israel played against the Christian nation of Armenia in the Nagorno Karabakh war if you followed it. Absolutely disgraceful of Israel to have done that to a Christian nation. That is to heavily supply weapons and technology to Azerbaijan which they used in driving out the Armenians from their lands. The Jews had little or nothing to gain in that war. They were only moved by sheer hatred for Christians which they hide when dealing with the west. They appear to have had a long standing relation with Baku, but it was mainly economic. The military support came specifically for the war in Nagorno Karabakh. When the Christian nation of Russia began a war with Ukraine, again they were at hand again standing against Russia, forgetting their benefits they have had from the Russian military presence in Syria.

Now, the thing they sold to the west which was predominantly Christian at the time they started the pursuit of their nationhood was that an Israeli nation in the heart of the Middle East was going to be beneficial. That was a good market to sell. But while they’re still not able to establish their full nationhood with Palestinians still occupying their territories, they are already bent on persecuting Christian nations with Christian values. These are the traits of the synagogue of Satan in them.
Christians need to be wary and not to dance too closely with the synagogue of Satan. To hold people as friends simply because of their ancestry is both unwise and un-Christian. It is written, “… For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel.” (Romans 9:6). And at the very moment they touted their Abrahamic ancestry, the response of Christ was simply this, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do…” (John 8:44). So let’s be warned, ancestry don’t make men good or bad, or acceptable to God or not.
I personally feel we ought to feel the pain of our brothers in Armenia and remember the grievous injury dealt on them by the Jewish state. I was so grieved that a nation holding its own in the midst of strong hostile nations for years through pain and tears should be so broken by Israel. What the hostile nations couldn’t do to the Christian nation of Armenia the Jews did with the strength they’ve gotten from predominantly Christian nations. The turn of things has seen Armenia literally begging on its knees for a peace treaty ever since to the joy of Israel.
So a Jewish nation won’t be of service to Christian people. These same people would persecute the church with all the strength they have as soon as they have enough power to. They will persecute you, not because of your wrong deeds or the advantages they stand to gain by it, but merely for your faith in Christ.
Christian people also need to remember that the Israel of God is not the political or geographical Israel as noted above. It is not a nation that has on its flag what is called the star of David. But David never had any star. There’s nowhere in scriptures that we see any reference to anything called the star of David, nor is there any that suggest it or even can be confused to mean it. But the Jews did have a star which was recorded in scriptures for sure in 
the verse that reads, “But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.” (Amos 5:26). And Stephen the protomartyr said in denunciation of the Jews of his days, “Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.” (Acts 7:43). And guess what? They killed him. So the Israel of God cannot be a nation that identifies nationally with Remphan or Moloch.
So I know the sense of devotion we, as Christians, do have towards “the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,” and while we must be cautious not to be driven by malice or injurious notions towards the Jews, we must be conscious of the fact that their disposition towards us is not in anyway like our disposition towards them. And the state of Israel needs to be watched very closely as they may as well become extremely injurious to the body of Christ.
As said, this is not an antisemitic writing. I’ve listened to Netanyahu speak about what antisemitism is and he said [paraphrased] it is okay to dislike someone for his bad deeds, but you can’t just roundly hate a people because of their ancestry. I do not write these things because of the ancestry of the Jews, I sure love the Jews on this account and pray for the peace and prosperity of Jerusalem always. I love them because their ancestors were singled out and called to be owned by God. I love them because my Lord was of Jewish origin. But I write this, which of course is not a call to hatred but caution, because of their ominous actions.
Let’s not be holier than Christ. He was proudly Jewish, but when their ways deserved it he called the unbelieving, injurious, and malicious ones by what they are, “the synagogue of Satan.”
